Finally, at long last, a video of my gorgeous apartment! Some things to know before watching and commenting:
1. Yes, I know it's small. Smaller than wherever you live.
2. It's dirty. I decided I'm not gonna clean for a stupid video.
3. My bedspread has flowers on it. That means I'm gay, right? Shut up.
4. I think I said "crap" a couple times. Sorry mom.
5. If you're thinking about coming to Korea, this is probably not the type of apartment you'll have. This is as small as they get, so yours will probably be a little better. Most people at least have a separate bedroom. I think this one costs about 400,000 won/month while most schools budget around 500,000 won.
6. After watching it, I HAD to make it more interesting, hence the music and such.
7. It's a little long, but it took me forever to edit it and everything.
8. I'm still learning how to edit these things. I promise I'll make my videos more visually appealing someday.
Enjoy!!

Nice place. Kind of reminds me of where Jake and Ellwood lived.
One more thing - Your mother is reorganizing the house. Maybe I should send you a video of your old room ???
Hey, Alan! It's Andrew. How have you been?
I had a lot of fun reading about your time in Korea so far! In fact, I've noticed a surprising number of similarities between Korea and Japan--weird toppings on pizza, awkward English in advertisements, great Taxi service, to name a few.
Oh, and I know what you mean about being stared at! It feels really awkward, doesn't it? While I was living in Japan on a study abroad, when I went to stores, I would often hear whispers of "American," "foreigner," and even "white guy". Good times.
How much were the pizzas, by the way? I was shocked at how much Pizzas cost in Japan. It was about $25 or $30 for a large! That's something that I'll never understand...
Anyway, I'm glad to see that you are having a good time there! I'll try to check back in on your blog often! See you later!
Its me again!! That was the best movie yet!!! Very creative movie making skills. The apt is tiny and crazy!! I don't even think there's room for a sleeping bag in there. hehehe :) Have fun in ya crib!- Tpizzle
Alan!
1. Your video-making skills are superb. I forwarded your blog site onto some work friends; I thought it was THAT good!
2. What an experience! Way to be ballsy and try something scary!
3. I bet one day you'll look back on that video and fondly miss the way the shower water pooled around the toilet and soaked your socks everytime you forgot about the aforementioned pool of water.
Keep partying like a rock star, playa! :)
I didn't know what I'd been missing! I just finished reading/watching your entire blog starting in October. (Actually, I had seen the trip across America stuff before, but I wanted to get the complete picture of this Texan in Korea guy in my mind again!)
Could you have found a worse pic of me to put in your soon-to-be-world-famous blog? I'm a little slimmer now, thank heavens! Guess I'll just have to come over to Korea so everyone can see the new skinny me in your videos! I'll start working on that passport thing soon.
Yes, I am cleaning/reorganizing everything here and no, you wouldn't want to see a pic of your old room--not yet anyway. I'm ok with the cr__p reference ; just don't let the language get anymore outta control, ok? It's a bad reflection on the rents!
Hey, the pizza looks pretty good..I dunno, maybe try the pickles on a slice, you never know! You're the adventurous type (a little like your mummy in that respect, I think. Remember my latest van adventure?). The "mummy" reference was a little something for your friend Steve...maybe it will help with his England homesickness. Wow, I feel so "caught up" now. I think I'm gonna like this blogging thing. I promise I'll just send short, sweet, little comments from now on.
Oh, one more thing. I had lunch with Myong Krieg and her husband Dennis yesterday. Unfortunately, there was no wifi in the Grand China Buffet so I couldn't show them your blog. I did try octopus at Myong's urging though. I think I'm one up on you now as far as the adventures go. It's really quite good and I don't think it would be considered a crustacean but don't hold me to it. I don't want to be responsible for any praying to the porcelain god trips on your part, ok?
By the way, you look much better now in your videos than you did 2 weeks ago when you hadn't gotten any sleep. Just some simple mom observations about the importance of sleep. You're never too old ( or too far away for some friendly mommy advise)ha ha.
ok ok I'm going. Don't want you to have that "oh no it's a comment from mom reaction every time you hear from me. See if you can figure out my user name. Byeee
oh my gosh ! this totally had me cracking up ! i think your place is sweet. the whole living room/bedroom/kitchen thing is totally gonna catch on in the states, i think you're onto something. i was happy to see you have more than enough storage space. you need to buy more things apparently.
i think it all looks awesome ! i hope you are having the best time ever.... a texan in korea is totally on my favorites, so i'm checking in on you often !
miss ya !
I'm waiting for more your videos and pics... It's sooo interesting :)
BYE!
